VAX-D (Vertebral Axial Decompression)

Treatment is a primary, non-invasive treatment for the management of patients
with chronic low-back pain and neurological symptoms from lumbar disc or facet joint pathology.

The treatment is designed to relieve pressure on structures that may be causing back pain generally associated with herniated
discs and degenerative disc disease. VAX-D achieves this through the decompression of the intervertebral discs and facet joints, that is, unloading, due to distraction and positioning on the VAX-D table.

Patients receive an average of 20-25 treatments, once daily, five days per week. The patient's progress is assessed at follow-up visits to the VAX-D clinics. The main objective of treatment is to attain a long-term positive outcome in appropriately selected patients.
